Fearless (2006)
Based on the biography of the great Huo Youninja, the Chinese martial arts guru, by following his entire life as a young teenager, and losing his family after killing their master, the thing that affects badly on him and leads him to leave his own land, where he learns many lessons, so he decides to focus on teaching the martial arts, till his fame.

Every so often there is a hand-to-hand fight scene to cut the boredom -- the best is set atop a precipitously high wooden tower in a village square -- but even these don't set themselves apart from anything we've seen before.
