[The] 2007 remake delivers a lot of laughs despite the fact we're clearly supposed to root for and feel sorry for the cad ... no matter how squirmy or awful his actions.January 18, 2008
The original's premise has been stripped of anything to do with upward mobility, and except for one shot involving a Prince Albert, the Farrellys' signature shock humor is largely absent.October 05, 2007
Though not as engaging as Knocked Up, there is enough humor to keeps us entertained.March 06, 2008
Bobby and Peter Farrelly don't bring any fresh insight or relevance to their remake of The Heartbreak Kid. Mainly, they've taken a decent comedy and turned it into a...decent comedy.May 15, 2010
A miserable pathetic mean spirited effort on the Farrelly brothers...August 12, 2008
If The Heartbreak Kid doesn't go totally wrong, its big problem is that doesn't really go anywhere. It just sort of lies there, like dumb Lila on the beach, waiting to turn gold.October 10, 2007
[A] hit-or-miss, not-as-bad-as-you've-heard remake of the 1972 minor classic.December 15, 2008
...largely gross, mean-spirited, frustrating, and ugly.October 05, 2007
Gratingly unfunny, mean-spirited Farrelly brothers flick.February 01, 2008
If you watch this film, don't expect much and you may not be too disappointed. Now there's a ringing endorsement for ya!October 08, 2007
It just falls flat, flat, flat.
