It's the overall experience that hits hardest, and while delving into heartbreak may not be something we're all eager to become immersed in, the series' value on levels both informational and artistic is hard to deny.

Great actors, dialogue in depressing domestic dramedy.

[Parker is] an enduringly captivating actress.

I'm not beauty-shaming Parker. It's just that her unending composure, no matter how hard her character, Frances, suffers, undermines her overall dramatic and comedic impact.

The show is funny but in a sad way, funny in an awkward-moments way.
October 19, 2016
The series has plenty of room to develop. A pitched battle looms over the divorce and division of assets and, in a War Of The Roses (1989) way, you want to see how bad it gets, even if that is the somewhat predictable route.

Like some divorces, this show could run for some time before it reaches closure.
