Joe Feldman-Barros excels at grounded, truthful, dramatic work, whether in Spanish or English.His past directors have called him 'compelling', a 'triple threat in terms of movement, vocalization, and interpretation', and stated that he 'brings great authenticity and naturalism to his performances'.He has had a great time playing brooding, romantic characters across all genres and styles: in theatre as a lovesick, rambunctious Italian and on-camera as an army lieutenant with a dark secret.He studied at the College of William and Mary in Virginia, the 3-Year Conservatory at the Studio Theatre in DC; and most recently at The Barrow Group, UCB, and T. Schreiber Studios in NY.As a Third Culture Kid, he grew up in so many different countries he doesn't have a hometown! Living abroad, he enjoyed riding horses through 'haciendas', climbing Machu Picchu with his family, white water rafting the Ganges River with his friends, and flying. Lots of flying!His travel experiences and intense relationships with multiple cultures serve as the foundation for his many compelling and complex characters.
