The series is about Sid Burnett, a Los Angeles police investigator facing more challenges. Sid works with a new partner, Nancy McKenna, a working mother with a complex past. Sid is facing more clashes coming from Nancy, whose unrecognized lifestyle appears to be hiding a larger personal secret. The two women do not agree much, but they are beginning to form a true friendship to confront the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles.
